David serves as the director emeritus of counseling services at Southern Connecticut State University, where he served as the associate director and then director of counseling for more than three decades. Having additionally supervised the university's health services for two years and led a search for a new medical director during that time, he brings a wealth of expertise in the myriad issues with which students come to campus and how to best support them. David has been teaching graduate students for more than 25 years and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member in the clinical mental health program at SCSU, while also providing consulting services and presenting at conferences across the country. David also served as the 2017-18 president of the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA).

David Denino

David is available for consulting work, presentations, and campus trainings in the areas of campus health and safety, including mental health, residence life, and student services. He is also a master trainer of QPR , an expert in mental health first response, suicide prevention, and mental health interventions.
